Cyberbullying: A Violência Virtual

O primeiro artigo que escrevi na troppo, em 21.05.2006,  foi sobre Bullying, um assunto que me preocupava bastante em função da quantidade e da gravidade dos casos atendidos por mim, no consultório. Infelizmente, com o passar do tempo, não só a freqüência dos casos de Bullying aumentou, como também, tornou-se mais perverso, danoso e cruel pois, com a ajuda da tecnologia, as humilhações que antes ficavam restritas à escola, hoje acontecem em qualquer lugar, graças ao celular e a internet. Estamos na era do Cyberbullying: a violência virtual.

Diariamente, crianças e jovens são humilhados, ridicularizados, difamados e perseguidos por seus colegas de escola que postam na rede ou repassam através do celular para um universo ainda maior de pessoas e de uma forma muito rápida. São mensagens com imagens e comentários onde comparam a vítima com pessoas feias; reproduzem apelidos maldosos; inventam histórias; propagam xingamentos, ofensas e ameaças e divulgam intimidades sexuais. Como nem sempre dá para identificar os “agressores” uma vez que eles costumam agir protegidos por um perfil falso no orkut, por um email fictício ou usando a senha de terceiros, muitas vezes, eles não são descobertos e em responsabilizados por seus atos.

O Combate à violência passa pela escola

Engana-se quem acredita que as crianças e os jovens são isentos de maldade; eles são capazes de agir com perversidade e sentir prazer em tripudiar e humilhar o colega, provavelmente, para se afirmar e se sentir poderoso. O agressor tem noção do que está fazendo e seus atos podem trazer conseqüências severas para as vítimas como distúrbios alimentares, transtornos de ansiedade, fobia escolar, depressão e até mesmo suicídio.

A escola precisa entender que isso não é brincadeira de mal gosto e nem que os agressores não tinham a intenção de provocar tantos danos. Apesar da ocorrência de tantos casos, de tantos artigos e livros publicados, de campanhas realizadas pela mídia (tipo o programa do Serginho Groisman), muitas escolas ainda não estão dando a devida atenção ao assunto. O combate à violência passa necessariamente por uma intervenção direta, firme e responsável da Escola.  O caminho é reunir alunos, pais e professores para falar sobre o bullying e suas conseqüências, deixar bem claro que a Escola não vai tolerar o bullying, que os agressores serão punidos e os agredidos terão todo o acolhimento e apoio necessário.

Se engaje nessa campanha!

            Os pais devem ficar muito atentos às mudanças de comportamento dos filhos como: pedir para não ir pra aula, adoecer na hora de ir pra escola (dor de cabeça, dor de barriga, vômito), demonstrar desinteresse pelos estudos, baixar seu rendimento escolar, chegar em casa machucado ou com seus pertences destruídos… Essas são algumas condutas apresentadas por quem está sendo vítima de bullying. Normalmente, quando os pais descobrem, seu filho já vem sendo assediado há muito tempo.

Converse com seu filho sobre o bullying. Oriente-o para se receber torpedos, emails ou filminhos em que alguém é ridicularizado, que não compactue com isso e não repasse-os para outras pessoas. Além disso, solicite que ele lhe comunique, imediatamente, para que você entre em contato com a escola e tome as providências necessárias.

Ensine seu filho a respeitar as diferenças, a ser solidário com a vítima e a entender que o agressor também é alguém que precisa de ajuda. Se engaje nessa campanha anti-bullying, você também é responsável, pois seus filhos podem estar nesse momento, sem que você saiba, fazendo parte do grupo dos que humilham e xingam, dos que acham engraçado e dão risadas dos outros ou dos que sofrem, ficam acuados e choram. DIGA NÃO AO BULLYING!
